About The Author

Annette Newcomb is a wife and mother to three grown sons, Kenny, Brendan and Tyler. She and Adam have been married, divorced and remarried for over 30 years and live in the Southern California Desert. They are passionate about coming alongside those desiring to strengthen their marriages with the Hope of Jesus Christ. They also want to bring more awareness to mental illness issues, help remove some of the stigma associated with it and bring hope to those who struggle in any way they can. In her spare time she likes playing tennis, scrapbooking and reading a good book on the beach.

Things I “hang on to”…

My husband Adam is truly my best friend. He is currently retired and spends most of his time working alongside me, encouraging me in this new journey of “authorhood”. He is my manager, chauffeur, social media director, event planner, bookkeeper and #1 fan. Besides the Lord and his family, his other two great loves are sports and music. The Denver Broncos, St. Louis Cardinals, Earth Wind & Fire and Kenny Loggins top his list. And for good measure we squabble over who is the GOAT (greatest of all time), Roger Federer or Rafael Nadal. I am constantly amazed at his humility and how the Lord continues to work in his life.

I have been blessed like no other Mom I know with three amazing sons. They have all grown into godly young men. Our oldest Kenny is married to his wife Kristi. He is a Middle School Math/Science Teacher (Lord help him!) and hopefully in the near future we will hear the pitter patter of little feet blessing their lives (Lord willing 🙂 Our middle son Brendan is a student majoring in Art History and Cultural Anthropology with a huge heart for the artist community. He is a gifted artist in his own right as well. Our youngest son Tyler is a recent graduate from UCLA with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. He currently works as a Design Engineer and is considering teaching as well! He was the President while at UCLA of the Christian Fraternity Alpha Gamma Omega. To say I am one proud Mama would be an understatement but mostly for one reason…3 John 4 – “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth”.

Day to day I work part time from home as a medical transcriptionist. I have been doing this for the past 20 years and feel fortunate I was able to work from home the majority of time my boys were growing up. Now that they are grown and out on their own it’s just Adam & I and Rafa, our adorable shih poo. We like to play tennis as often as we can, watch “Fixer Upper” and are totally into March Madness and college football. We are passionate about serving those in the body however we can that are struggling in their marriages to bring them the hope found in Jesus Christ. I also started a weekly ministry for the women in my church called Wives in Touch, similar to Moms in Touch, that meets weekly to pray for one hour for our husbands and marriages.
